The WD-40 Trick

Encouraging creativity in children is one of the best things we can do as parents. But it doesn’t always feel like this – especially if we end up spending half of our time trying, in vain, to remove crayon from walls, wallpaper, clothes, ceilings, etc, etc.

But fear not, help is at hand in the form of a trusty can of WD-40. A spray or two can remove crayon marks from most surfaces (furniture, walls etc.) – just make sure to leave it a few minutes before wiping it off with a clean rag.

A slightly more gentle option, which also works well on walls, is toothpaste (the non-gel kind). Just scrub your wall gently with a dab of it, using a toothbrush, then wipe clean with warm water and a rag.
